
"Ecocuentos" es una producción basada en el principio EDUCOMUNICACIÓN, realizada en el curso Taller de radio, dictado durante el segundo semestre del año 2004. El ciclo está conformado por seis microprogramas con una duración aproximada de seis minutos cada uno. Cada programa trata sobre las aventuras de Ramón y su perro Cuete y busca, a través de dramatizaciones, contar una historia para enseñar respecto a un tema medioambiental específico.
"El fin de la producción de estos microprogramas es enseñar. Como dice Mario Kaplún, busca formar a las personas y trasformar su realidad, no sólo informar o conformar comportamientos. Si tenemos que las personas se educan entre sí, mediatizados por el mundo, constituyéndose de esta forma el proceso de educación, se puede inferir que es un proceso permanente, donde el sujeto descubre, elabora, reinventa y luego hace suyo el conocimiento. A través de este producto radiofónico queremos acompañar al oyente en este proceso, para estimularlo y construir juntos. Con el fomento y la problematización de la discusión, del diálogo, la reflexión y la participación, logrando construir una conciencia crítica. Para ello se requiere de una formulación pedagógica del mensaje, es decir, debe presentar los hechos de manera problematizadora para generar la reflexión" (Equipo producción de la serie)
Entre los temas tratados en la serie se encuentran: "La degradación del suelo", "Los humedales", "Los monocultivos", "El problema de la basura", entre otros. Este ciclo fue orientado a un público constituido por niños de primer y segundo año básico, no obstante con un tratamiento del lenguaje radiofónico para que sea disfrutado por todo el público, además fue transmitido por una radioemisora local.
